User:Gandalf/hw/filestore 3
The ND-5000 filestore comes without a serial number but this is the third one in my collection. It was given to me by Dansk Datahistorisk Forening in 2020 and it belongs to the two ND-5800 machines, Batman and Robin. I believe it was previous in the possession of the Danish Telephone Company.
The difference between this filestore and the previous one is that there are six cassettes with power supply and space for two standard 5.25" full height SCSI drives. The backside have cabling for creating chains of disks, but is easily cut between the cassettes. The configuration of this filestore was to provide disks for both Batman and Robin

Missing parts and damages
The door handle doesn't seems to lock but is complete. I have to look into it. There are some screws missing too, but nothing serious.
Current status
The system resides in my main collection outside of Umeå. It's operational status is unknown.
- 2020-11-08 Arrived at my main collection, the move from Denmark went just fine without major problems. To move it the last leg of the journey all side panels, the door and all cassettes with the disks were stripped before the move but was put back again when the machine arrived at the collection.
Plans
The system will be put together and tested. The disk will be imaged separately first. Then it will be connected to Batman and Robin again.
