SET-ERROR-DEVICE

@SET-ERROR-DEVICE <logical device no.>

Change destination of system error messages to the specified terminal. Normally, the error messages from RT programs will be written on Terminal 1. However, it is possible to route them to some other terminal by using this command.

<logical device no.>

(decimal) device to which errors will be sent.

Rules:

1. Permitted only for user SYSTEM.
2. The messages are normally written on terminal 1.
3. The command is valid until next @SET-ERROR-DEVICE or until start from SAVE area. @RESTART-SYSTEM (MASTER CLEAR, LOAD) does not change the error device. Messages from the SINTRAN START program are written on the current error device.

Example:

@SET-ERROR-DEVICE 9

which will cause the error messages to appear on Terminal 2 (terminal 2 has logical device number 9, see Norsk Data Document ND–60.128.03 SINTRAN III REFERENCE MANUAL , Appendix C).
