@CREATE-VOLUME <volume name>, <device name> [, <unit>]
Create a new volume on magnetic tape. A volume is a labelled collection of files recorded on a reel of magnetic tape according to the ANSI standard.
- <volume name>
- name to be written to the tape reel (maximum 6 alphanumeric characters).
- <device name>
- choose MAG-TAPE-1 or MAG-TAPE-2.
- <unit>
- number of magnetic tape station. Legal only if the system has more than one unit.
Rules:
- Permitted for all users.
Example:
@CREATE-VOLUME LABEL1, M-T-1, 1
The volume named "LABEL1" is created on MAG-TAPE-1, unit 1.
