I had never heard anything about the existence of NORD-4 before, so that's very interesting. However, the Facebook ref is not visible to people not logged in on Facebook, and for those (like me) with no Facebook presence it'll forever be invisible.. is it possible to lift the core of that post out of there to somewhere else, or quote it somehow? - I have asked the facebook user for permissions to post the pictures here. Haven't got any answer yet. The pictures are saved on my laptop and I think I've seen them before so if I find them from another source I can upload them later.--Gandalf (talk) 07:50, 8 July 2016 (UTC)
- Interesting. The article "Datastyrte simulatorer i maritim undervisning" in ND-NYTT no 2 1980 talks about NORCONTROL and NORD-42 (an OEM mini version of NORD-10) so it seems Norcontrol was a longtime customer. --Torfinn (talk) 12:49, 8 July 2016 (UTC)
Is that facebook posting still available? If it is, it isn't accessible. Does someone have a copy? In general I consider so-called social media too ephemeral to use as reference - it can be gone from one day to another.TArntsen (talk) 11:49, 19 March 2019 (UTC)
- I totally agree about social media. Facebook is NOT a good place for keeping information. It is not searchable from the outside and almost impossible to find stuff unless you know about it.
- The original post is still available, the group is not active any longer so it might be hard to get access as there are only about 30 members left. Since I'm still subscribed there I can let people in, just contact me if you like to get an invite. I have added direct links to the original post in the description of the pictures. The information posted with the pictures are already included in the descriptions. --Gandalf (talk) 19:58, 19 March 2019 (UTC)
