I wonder if the part "The address of this instruction may be modified by the contents of the X register." which is verbatim from ND-06.014.02 isn't nevertheless a typo in the latter. I can't make much sense of it. The newer document ND-06.029.1 doesn't include it, STX is described just as the other store instructions: Contents of register stored in (ea). It happens that the older manual is more accurate, but in this case I can't see how.. -- [[User:TArntsen|TArntsen]] 14:40, 30 June 2010 (UTC) | I wonder if the part "The address of this instruction may be modified by the contents of the X register." which is verbatim from ND-06.014.02 isn't nevertheless a typo in the latter. :Thinking more about it, I wonder if it wasn't simply meant as another way of saying what was already stated: Store contents in (ea). If so, then 'The address of this instruction' would mean 'The effective [data] address used by this instruction'. If so, then I think it's clearer if we just remove it. | :Thinking more about it, I wonder if it wasn't simply meant as another way of saying what was already stated: Store contents in (ea). -- TArntsen 14:40, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
- Thinking more about it, I wonder if it wasn't simply meant as another way of saying what was already stated: Store contents in (ea). If so, then 'The address of this instruction' would mean 'The effective [data] address used by this instruction'. If so, then I think it's clearer if we just remove it. -- TArntsen 14:44, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
