@RESERVE-DEVICE-UNIT <directory name>, <device name>, [<unit>], [<'F' or 'R'>], <subunit>
Reserve device for special use. No directories can be entered until the device is released.
; <directory name> : the name which will be written onto the new directory. A maximum of 16 alphanumeric characters, including the character, are legal.
; <device name> : the name of the mass storage device controller on which the device unit is connected. See {{ND-doc|60.128.01}} Appendix F for legal names.
; <unit> : the unit number. Only to be specified if [[SINTRAN III]] is generated with multiple units. Unit number starts at 0 (zero) octal, default is 0 (zero).
; <'F' or 'R'> : F = a fixed cartridge disk pack. R = a removable cartridge disk pack. Otherwise, the parameter is not used.
; <subunit> : applies only to big cartridge disk.

Rules:
#Permitted for all users.
#The command is not executed if a directory is already entered on the unit.

Example:

@RESERVE-DEVICE-UNIT FLOPPY-DISC-1

No directory can be entered on FLOPPY-DISC-1.
