3015 is a HDLC + autoload controller.

Introduction

HDLC Controller

CHARACTERISTICS

Single-line serial interface for ND-100/110.

Synchronous transmission format.

HDLC (High-level Data Link Control) frame format handled in hardware.

Direct Memory Access (DMA) transfer of data.

Switch-selectable line connection:

  • V.24/V.28 for synchronous modem connection.
  • X.21/X.27 for X-DCE (datanet) connection.
  • Special computer link connection.
  • V.36/V.11 for 64 Kbit/s communication.
  • Optional V.35 for wideband modem connection.
  • Speed up to 307 kbps in computer link configuration.

APPLICATIONS

COSMOS network.

NORD-NET via synchronous modem or computer link.

Datanet (X.21/X.25) connection.

TEST PROGRAMS

NORD-CONFIGURATION-INVESTIGATOR: Tests device number and identcode.

HDLC/MEGALINK: Tests the HDLC interface both off-line and on-line (see Testprogram Guide).

XMSG-HDLC-TEST: Tests the HDLC interface on-line.

Switches and indicators

The card has three thumbwheel switches numbered 3,2,1 from the top of the card. In addition it has switches at positions 13A, 17G and 26G.

Connectors

The A and B connectors are used for I/O, the C connector is used for the ND-100 Bus.

I/O Devices on the card

none?

ECO

ECO or Engineering Change Order is a hardware change. Here is a list of known ECO's for this card.

  • ECO 100-753E - System corruption if many DMA-controllers and ND-110 (3095 print) or ND-120 as CPU[1]
