Introduction
HDLC Controller
CHARACTERISTICS
Single-line serial interface for ND-100/110.
Synchronous transmission format.
HDLC (High-level Data Link Control) frame format handled in hardware.
Direct Memory Access (DMA) transfer of data.
Switch-selectable line connection:
- V.24/V.28 for synchronous modem connection.
- X.21/X.27 for X-DCE (datanet) connection.
- Special computer link connection.
- V.36/V.11 for 64 Kbit/s communication.
- Optional V.35 for wideband modem connection.
- Speed up to 307 kbps in computer link configuration.
APPLICATIONS
COSMOS network.
NORD-NET via synchronous modem or computer link.
Datanet (X.21/X.25) connection.
TEST PROGRAMS
NORD-CONFIGURATION-INVESTIGATOR: Tests device number and identcode.
HDLC/MEGALINK: Tests the HDLC interface both off-line and on-line (see Testprogram Guide).
XMSG-HDLC-TEST: Tests the HDLC interface on-line.
